Independent research
on EU digital banking.

Neobanks.guide is an editorially-independent site covering every licensed neobank in the European Union. Published from Berlin since 2024. One editor, one methodology, one ranking per quarter.

What this site is

A quarterly ranking of every major neobank serving EU residents, with a deep review of each, a live tracker of deposit-protection status, and research pages on savings rates, premium plans, and other recurring reader questions.

The writing is editorial — opinionated where we have a view, neutral where we don't, and transparent about what we don't know.

Who runs it

Stephan Kulik — editor and primary author. Based in Berlin. Ten years covering European consumer tech and fintech; primary Revolut user since 2019, primary Wise user since 2020, primary N26 user since 2022.

The site is operated by Kulik Media UG, a German company registered in Berlin (see the imprint for filings).

How the site is funded

Affiliate referrals from a subset of the banks we cover (Revolut, Wise, Trade Republic, N26 — the set changes over time). See the methodology's affiliate policy for exactly how this is handled.

We do not take sponsored content, do not publish paid reviews, and do not accept money to influence the ranking. If a bank offers to pay us to feature them, we say no and keep the offer on record.
