June 2026 ECB decision and June inflation figure corrected.
The article called the ECB's June 2026 decision a "25bps cut" and gave euro area inflation for June 2026 as 2.3%. Both were wrong. On 11 June 2026 the ECB raised its three key rates by 25 basis points, to 2.25%, 2.40% and 2.65% (ECB), as our own 18 June 2026 article reported; and the ECB's 23 July statement says inflation declined to 2.8% in June, from 3.2% in May (ECB). The rates the article gave for the July hold (2.25%, 2.40%, 2.65%) were correct. The summary and both sentences have been corrected, and the inflation sentence now follows the ECB's own statement; the article exists in English only.
