Privacy
policy.

How Neobanks Guide (operated by Kulik Media UG) collects, processes, and protects personal data under EU GDPR. Plain-English version, with the legal references kept inline.

01
The policy

What we collect, and what we don't.

1. Data controller

The data controller for this website is:

Kulik Media UG (haftungsbeschränkt) · Contact: privacy@neobanks.guide · Full entity details: Imprint.

Questions about your personal data, exercising your GDPR rights, or making a complaint can be sent to the address above.

2. What data we collect

We collect the minimum data necessary to operate this website and understand how visitors use it.

a. Server logs

Our hosting provider records standard server log data for every request: IP address, user agent, referrer, timestamp, and the URL requested. These logs are retained for up to 14 days for security and debugging, then deleted. Legal basis: legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) — operating a website securely.

b. Analytics via Google Analytics 4

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate visitor behaviour: which pages are popular, what devices people use, roughly where traffic comes from. GA4 does not use third-party cookies and does not track individual users across the web. We enable IP anonymisation.

Data processed by GA4 includes: anonymised IP, browser/device type, pages viewed, click events (including affiliate click events). Legal basis: consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)) on first visit; you can withdraw consent at any time.

c. Affiliate click tracking

When you click a link to an affiliate partner (Revolut, N26, Wise, etc.), we append UTM parameters to the URL so that our partner can attribute the referral to us. We do not see or store any subsequent data about your relationship with that partner — that is governed by the partner's own privacy policy.

d. Email correspondence

If you email us (corrections@, hello@, privacy@), we retain your email for the purposes of replying and keeping a record. Retained until you request deletion.

3. What we do NOT collect

  • No Facebook Pixel, X Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or equivalent ad-network trackers
  • We do not sell or trade personal data to anyone
  • No special-category data (health, political, religious, biometric)
  • No individual marketing profiles
  • No third-party advertising cookies

4. Cookies

  • Essential cookies for language and display preferences (no consent required under EU law)
  • Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) — stored only after you accept the cookie banner on your first visit

Rejecting cookies does not break any site functionality.

5. Your rights under GDPR

  • Access (Art. 15) — ask what data we hold about you
  • Rectification (Art. 16) — correct inaccurate data
  • Erasure (Art. 17) — delete your data
  • Restriction (Art. 18) — pause processing while a dispute is resolved
  • Portability (Art. 20) — receive your data in a machine-readable format
  • Object (Art. 21) — object to legitimate-interest processing
  • Withdraw consent — at any time, for any consent-based processing
  • Lodge a complaint — with your national DPA or the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit

To exercise any right, email privacy@neobanks.guide. We respond within 30 days (usually within a week).

6. Data retention

  • Server logs: 14 days
  • Analytics data (GA4): 14 months (Google default)
  • Email correspondence: until you request deletion

7. International transfers

Our hosting provider operates servers inside the EU/EEA. Google Analytics may process data in the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Where transfers occur, they are made under adequate safeguards (adequacy decision, Standard Contractual Clauses, or equivalent).

8. Children

Our content is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe we have done so, contact us and we will delete the data.

9. Changes to this policy

We update this policy when the law changes or our data practices change. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes are announced via a notice on the homepage.

10. Supervisory authority

The competent data protection authority for Kulik Media UG is:

Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit · datenschutz-berlin.de

If you live elsewhere in the EU, you may also contact your national DPA.
